For which group id "We're an American Band" hit #1 in 1973?

Which of the following pairs was not a Brill Building songwriting team?

1. B-52's
2. Grand Funk Railroad ("Grand Funk Railroad paved the way for Jefferson Airplane, which cleared the way for Jefferson Starship. The stage was now set for the Alan Parsons Project, which I believe was some sort of hovercraft.")
3. um, a?
4. Jan & Dean?

edit: I seem to recall reading that there's hardly any time in the movie, if at all, that you don't hear a rock n roll song playing. The idea of an all-rock soundtrack—no orchestral score—for a movie (excluding stuff like Hard Day's Night) was unheard of to that point, and pretty much set in motion Kenny Loggins' career.
"Grab some wood, bub.'" - Richard Nixon, Checkers Speech, abandoned early draft

B52s is correct, Love Shack and Roam came from that record.

Grand Funk sold the most records of any American artist that year!

no

no, but close

I recall it was song after song, with Wolfman Jack radio banter in between, as is you were listening to the radio along with the characters.

One of my favourite jokes from any movie:
Toad: Pardon me, sir, but I lost my I.D. in a flood and I'd like to get some Old Harper. Would you mind buying a bottle for me?
Hobo: Why certainly! I lost my wife, too. Her name wasn't Idy, though, and it wasn't in a flood.

Also, to those who knew Lucas from those days, he was Toad through and through.
