In the 1960s, Manhattan's Brill Building housed over a hundred music businesses, including producers and their writers. Jeff Barry was one, but he was teamed with his wife Ellie Greenwich.

the second two are correct.

I think Clarksville was Boyce and Hart. And not Diamond Dave.

Yes, "I'm a Believer" & "A Little Bit Me..." Neil also wrote "Red Red Wine" which hit #1 for UB40 in the 80s.

Gary Cherone (Extreme) recorded Van Halen III, which turned out to be their worst selling album.

So I was right about Gary Cherone. I hate that I knew that.

I remember my buddy Jason used to record story notes and ideas while stoned just to see what he came up with. One day he played his recorder around this time, and all it said was "Why…does Van Halen…continue to do this…to us…?"

Gary Cherone is a hell of a singer.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I want to go on record as saying that Extreme is one of the dumbest names for a band in the last 5000 years.
