Okay, you got me. I was still operating on what I assumed was Heston's original intent, that the question was rock-oriented, and that you had diverged into jazz. I assumed that my brief acknowledgement got us back on the rock track. So, yeah, I'll cop to not being more explicit where I was going with my subsequent comments.eumaas wrote:Dr. Medulla wrote:I acknowledged that earlier. If you're listening to a Van Halen boot for some reason and that fat fuck (can't recall his name) starts in on a bass solo, it's hard to argue that it's meaningful and vital contribution to the song.Aren't you the Canadian that goes on about the need for precision? As a rule, tho, all solos are vile.

I think it'd be more interesting to go into why jazz is better suited than rock. I know I'd rather shoot myself in the dick than listen to a Grateful Dead concert.Dr. Medulla wrote:Okay, you got me. I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Anything I say on the topic of jazz will be uninformed and possibly offensive (inadvertently so), so I'll sit that one out.eumaas wrote:I think it'd be more interesting to go into why jazz is better suited than rock. Dr. Medulla wrote:Jazz originally was the accompaniment of the voodoo dancer, stimulating the half-crazed barbarian to the vilest deeds. The weird chant, accompanied by the syncopated rhythm of the voodoo invokers, has also been employed by other barbaric people to stimulate brutality and sensuality. That it has a demoralizing effect upon the human brain has been demonstrated by many scientists.

Voodoo warlords killed my chickens. I was angry. I regret the libel.eumaas wrote:oh, we all remember the last time...Dr. Medulla wrote:Anything I say on the topic of jazz will be uninformed and possibly offensiveDr. Medulla wrote:Jazz originally was the accompaniment of the voodoo dancer, stimulating the half-crazed barbarian to the vilest deeds. An actual physical entity called Dr. eudullaas comes into existence when we have simultaneous seizures. He's the world's greatest assassin because he makes every death look natural or accidental.Wolter wrote:I enjoyed reading this Dr. eudullaas.
