I like Zep, not Floyd, with the exception of 3ish songs.

All his songs were done better by Dexys.
I really respect Kevin Rowland's talent, but he had a singing voice like a wet tissue caught in a fan.

That's put the kibosh on the olive branch I was going to hold out to 101 for next week's top 5.

Me too. I remember Wish You Were Here was Pretty good. Not thinkIng Zep is great is mind boggling.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Van Halen (the band, not the guy) is good, Van Morrison is GREAT.

Fuck Van Halen. I don't care for Van Morrison. Van McCoy had two songs. Van Hagar seems like a nice guy but...

I thought it was gas that made the van Morrison.

Of the four, I'd rather listen to Van Halen, but not even to vote and give the impression that I really like them. Hence, van art.

This used to be my work van in Brooklyn. No shit. We let them use it for the photo shoot for $200, which paid off the van in full.

After it was used in the MIB book cover, it was painted over by the almighty Neckface, and looked like this:

I used to have to take it out on the Grand Central Expressway to pick up printing supplies in Queens, and it was a goddamn cop magnet.
