Wombats
Wombats
Just found out my wife and I are "chaperoning" our daughter and some of her friends to see this band. So, should I plan on hanging out in the bar (know nothing about them except they're from Liverpool)?

Re: Wombats
One of my six formers was raving about them last year...albums ok.Sound a bit like pigeon detectives...could stand to hear them but wouldnt buy a ticket if you know what i mean. But ive been dragged to many a concert that i usually wouldnt bother with and enjoyed a lot of them, just cos its a concert, live, crowds, singing, dancing, alcohol n stuff. So steal the cd from your daughter, have a listen n give it a go.
Need a new thread....concerts you thought were going to be shite but turned out to be ok actually if you think about it.
(maybe something snappier than that)

Mahou Sensei Negima! 1-220
Ten-year-old prodigy Negi Springfield, has just graduated from magic academy. He dreams of becoming a master wizard. Instead he's sent to Japan to teach English... at an all - girls high school! All the students are delighted with their cute new teacher- except for Asuna, who resents Negi for replacing the teacher she secretly has a crush on.

I'd respect Manga a lot more if they knew how to fucking draw faces. And if the tentacle rape was toned down a hair.

Only the show is tonight I guess I'll not buy a ticket and sit at the upstairs bar and read Manga (when I'd rather be watching the opening of college football season)So steal the cd from your daughter, have a listen n give it a go.

Maybe it won't be that bad. At least it will be actual musicians and not Hannah Montana or something!classof77 wrote:Only the show is tonight I guess I'll not buy a ticket and sit at the upstairs bar and read Manga (when I'd rather be watching the opening of college football season)So steal the cd from your daughter, have a listen n give it a go.

Re: Wombats
Well...an all-ages matinee (with no freakin' bar ) where the band had to be off stage by 7:30--PM (before the "adult" shows started) was a bit risky...Apparently the band was a bit perplexed too (maybe they thought it was the soundcheck?) Anyways, my daughter's first "nightclub" experience and she got to high-five the bassist. And it'll end up being the Pistols playing Manchester in '76 …
