Seeking to avoid previous mentions …

The Cure - Let's Go To Bed
The La's - I Can't Sleep
New Order - Dreams Never End
Mamas and Papas - California Dreaming
Menswe@r - Sleeping In
Was playing their album yesterday. Despite all the obvious musical steals I thought it was pretty decent.

Agreed. They were totally a style-over-substance band, but they faked it pretty well.

Love that one.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

3. The Space Race is Over - Billy Bragg
4. Electricity - Cap Beefheart
5. Gamma Ray - Joe Strummer & Mescaleroes (skipped this track for years until discovering I actually love the groove of it)
