Eat to the Beat is #1 for me. In fact my 1-2-3 fave Blondie songs are 1-2-3 on side one.

Then:
Blondie
Parallel
Auto
Plastic
We reach the parts other combos cannot reach
We beach the beachheads other armies cannot beach
We speak the tongues other mouths cannot speak

Eh, ya know - first five albums, any old order, though I do love 'The Hunter' as well, especially "Danceaway".
Strong shoes is what we got and when they're hot they're hot!

I just think Parallel Lines is so iconic it has to be top of the list even if you can make a good argument that others are as good.

I'd say 'Eat to the Beat' is just as iconic and just as strong, song for song. And has that great live mix going for it, so that's some strong competition.

It may be just as strong musically however I would argue it is not as iconic as Parallel Lines.

Well yeah, 'Parallel Lines' is sorta Blondie's "London Calling' or whatever in that respect - it's just another great album by a then shit-hot group that happened to luck out (with a ton of touring) with both the critics and public, and now it's in the realm of t-shirt fodder for suburban mall kids who don't know, care, etc.

Back in the day it was compulsory to have a copy. You could not go to a party where it wasn’t played and every record shop had the cover poster on the wall as did most teen bedrooms. Not mine I had the one if Debbie in the white dress 😳
