Paul Stanley wrote Hard Luck Woman for Rod Stewart. He had to get some other hoarse voiced midget to sing it when Rod refused.

I'm certain I've read that Hungry Heart was written for The Ramones.
Yeah, I think I read the same.
True.

Good thing you said this Jenny cuz if you didn't I would have started punching things.

Also, Dept of Misheard Lyrics:
The Cult
"Here comes Lorriane...."
I know intellectually it's not a good song, but it reminds me of going to gay clubs with my best friend in college. So it has a nostalgia factor. I don't actually think it's a good song like Heston does with WBTCORAR.

Yeah, Tom’s getting two other people to agree on this, tops.

EDIT: I’m known as someone who’s fairly amenable to one G’n’R album but November Rain is also a side-eye.

Though it ain't Hold The Line, Africa is a perfectly decent song, fantastic chorus and solid throughout. As for PC it's not his best, but a very listenable tune.

Yeah I'm far from a big G'n'R fan though the first album was half decent. Later stuff, bar November Rain was pretty poor though. Their version of Live and Let Die is one of the worst songs ever to be recorded.

I was mostly thinking about Phil Collins. I don’t understand Millennial love for Toto, but I’m willing to chalk it up to some sort of mass brainworm.

I genuinely like Appetite, but you could probably fit the post-Appetite G’n’R that holds up for me on an ep. and even when I was a legit fan, November Rain was one of my least favorite of their songs that didn’t have a slur in it.

I hate the PC song with a passion. I did predict you would post it earlier in the thread.

I can feel Tom positively quivering in anticipation of his Phil Collins pick.
I missed this. Good call, if slightly predictable on my part.

Fair enough on PC, I'd be shocked if anyone else chose it (since Heston has declared his hate for it.)With regards to Toto, it may be a millennial love, from the first time I heard a few of their songs, they just, worked. Yeah, thinking about it, most mates my age would probably agree.
