Wow, this top five topic went down harder than my Depeche Mode one. Shame on all of you!

Chuck's Dinosaur Jr. pick is still the gold (or should that be lead) standard.

I think this probably elicited about the response I expected it to. Gotta throw one of these out every once in a while to separate the wheat from the chaff.

The one I was most surprised at was the Stranglers. Class of 77, hordes of good songs and they elicited about 5 responses.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑18 Dec 2017, 10:22amChuck's Dinosaur Jr. pick is still the gold (or should that be lead) standard.
I also thought the Yanks would be all over the Four Seasons but that went down like a turd in a swimming pool.

1. Fugazi - In On the Killtaker
2. ibid. - 13 Songs
3. Minor Threat - Complete Discography
4. Fugazi - Repeater
5. Jawbox - Jawbox
I could’ve just said Fugazi albums, but that wouldn’t have been fair.
Honorable mention: Day Nasty - Can I Say?

I had to because I don't know the other releases well enough. Although I did forget Dag Nasty was on the label, so I'll put that in there in place of Steady Diet of Nothing maybe.

Re: Heston, Flex and Marky's Friday Top 5
I really need to explore some of the other Dischord bands one of these days. Generally I like the stuff Ian has done but dont have a great knowledge outside of that.
But this is like doing a top 5 Alternative Tentacles and not having it be all DKs/Jello collaborations.
In no particular order.
1. Fugazi - Repeater
2. Minor Threat - Complete Discography.
3. Fugazi. - 13 Songs
4. The Evens - Get Even (totally underrated band I wish they were still making music)
5. Fugazi - In On the Killtaker
Good choice Flex pay no never mind to the Shadowdaddy faction. Lets make the Top 5 great again.
