I like a few Police songs but get bored very quickly if I put on a Police album.
I like Fields Of Gold it has a good atmosphere to it but haven’t heard any other solo stuff I particularly like.
Overall The Police and Sting solo are better than a lot of crap and neither offend me.
I have always found Sting to be likeable and funny when I’ve seen him in TV. I remember when he used to be on Saturday morning TV and he played the grumpy straight guy always being annoyed by Trevor and Simon, it was funny. I think he is prone to putting on an act and sometimes can be taken the wrong way.
Sting takes the piss out of himself and that is a quality in my book.
