A friend of mine with questionable taste in music was at my house yesterday, and told me he saw the Killer Kane doc on TV and was impressed, so I lent him Please Kill Me. If he doesn't come back in 2 weeks and ask me to borrow/burn CDs, he's a lost cause. Maybe this should go in the "hoy" thread, but MC5 are fucking rad.
I've posted this in times of old, but here it is again. Wait for it... wait for the Kramer shimmysham!

That's some awesome foot work by Brother Wayne. I wonder if he can still do that?

I finally watched this. Jesus Christ, the MC5 were incredible. And that video doesn't even have Rob Tyner trying to fuck a girl on stage or anything like that.

Your logic is wrong!

Nothin' wrong with Radiohead either.
Actually, they do whine a little bit too much. Unlike Travis.

Ahem …
I cant sleep tonight
Everybody saying everythings alright
Still I cant close my eyes
Im seeing a tunnel at the end of all these lights
Sunny days
Where have you gone?
I get the strangest feeling you belong
Why does it always rain on me?
Is it because I lied when I was seventeen?
Why does it always rain on me?
Even when the sun is shining
I cant avoid the lightning
I cant stand myself
Im being held up by invisible men
Still life on a shelf when
I got my mind on something else
Sunny days
Where have you gone?
I get the strangest feeling you belong
Why does it always rain on me?
Is it because I lied when I was seventeen?
Why does it always rain on me?
Even when the sun is shining
I cant avoid the lightning
Oh, where did the blue skies go?
And why is it raining so?
Its so cold
I cant sleep tonight
Everybody saying everythings alright
Still I cant close my eyes
Im seeing a tunnel at the end of all these lights
Sunny days
Where have you gone?
I get the strangest feeling you belong
Why does it always rain on me?

Dear diary
What is wrong with me?
cos Im fine between the lines
Be not afraid
Help is ons its way
A sentence suspended in air
Way over there
Dear diary
What else could it be?
As nightshade descends like a veil
Under the sail of my heart
Be still, dont stop until the end
Dear dairy
What is wrong with me?
cos Im fine between the lines
They are kinda depressing.
Still there's always;
When I first held you I was cold
A melting snowman I was told
But there was no-one there to hold before
I swore that I would be alone for ever more
Wow look at you now
Flowers in the window
It's such a lovely day
And I'm glad you feel the same
Cause to stand up, out in the crowd
You are one in a million
And I love you so
Lets watch the flowers grow

There is no reason to feel bad
But there are many seasons to feel glad, sad, mad
It's just a bunch of feelings that we have to hold
But I am here to help you with the load

Wow look at you now
Flowers in the window
It's such a lovely day
And I'm glad you feel the same
Cause to stand up, out in the crowd
You are one in a million
And I love you so
Lets watch the flowers grow

So now we're here and now is fine
So far away from there and there is time, time, time
To plant new seeds and watch them grow
So there'll be flowers in the window when we go

Wow look at us now
Flowers in the window
It's such a lovely day
And I'm glad you feel the same
Cause to stand up, out in the crowd
You are one in a million,
And I love you so
Lets watch the flowers grow
Wow look at you now
Flowers in the window
Its such a lovely day
And I'm glad you feel the same
Cause to stand up, out in the crowd
You are one in a million

I was having a bad day, you've just made it even worse. I thought I'd rinsed that godawful song from my memory.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

So much hate for Travis!
My friend can't stomach that song either...

Anyone here actually like them?
I'm listening to 'em now; "Closer". Good times had by all!

I wouldn't ridicule them like others here have, but they don't do anything for me.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
