There used to be a bloke in the year above above me at school who was nicknamed "Skids". I thought it was so good to be nicknamed after a band. Never saw him at any of their gigs. Turns out he'd messed his undies once.

There's a great YouTube video of that song with film highlights. I never realized it was a Peckinpah film. The highlight reel is just trucks crashing into shit like crazy and a grinning Kristofferson outwitting Ernest Borgnine and it can't possibly be as amazing as the highlights.
