Still a fun listen...

Just the single or the whole album?
Whole album.
It's totally nuts when you cosider that album followed NMTB. The Swindle is great fun with great ideas of course some tracks are naff but it all still works. I often wonder what it would've been without the '76 Rotten tracks. Which of course is the real swindle selling a group that no longer existed.

But goddamn is this site a plunderer's paradise of various live shows and BBC sessions:

Just start clicking on the category tags and lose self in a wormhole all weekend. Right-clicking on the audio player links lets you save the MP3's offline.

Wow!! Could spend all day on that site..Loads of stuff there that i had years ago when i taped stuff of John Peel programs in the late 80's early 90s
Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, "life" has surface noise."

Includes some great reworkings of earlier Subway Sect songs.

The Cornwell years, but mainly up to la Folie. The later albums I don't have, so it is Youtube time for those.

It has been a awhile since I have given the Stranglers a serious spin. What a band! And I might have to return my membership to the 'Paul Simonon the Coolest Bassplayer' fanboy club and join the JJ Burnel one instead.

Hello,

Mawillies - Intwenjani. Mid. 90's. SA pop. It's really rhythmic South Africa pop - very good for working out and bouncing around. I got into this music from visiting SA with my wife mid-90's.
