Ejoying the new Macca album today.
The few songs I've heard on the radio have been good but his voice has changed a lot in the last few years. He is 75 I suppose.
I shuffled it via Spotify. Decent listen. His aging voice is great for the new material but you notice the loss of presence when he sings Beatles live. He's spry and quick witted and just as lazy with his lyrics as he's ever been. His keeping at it puts a smile on my face.
Nicely put mate.

I'd love to see Mick Jones out doing the same stuff, but I guess he ain't getting that Paul McCartney money.

Yeah same here we all know there is a great Mick Jones solo album just around the next corner.

I'm beginning to think we've heard the last from Mick, which seems such a waste of talent.

Mentioned it in the other thread but Weller’s True Meanings is out tomorrow.
If anyone cares (I do) all the tracks are in the same vein as The Cranes Are Back off the last album.

I hope you are correct. While you are at it, could you ask Siouxsie to get her next solo album out please.

Hello,

Jaya the Cat - The New International Sound of Hedonism. Good. Guitar. Ska. Not ska-core but regular (?) ska with an emphasis on sort of rock guitar. Really good stuff. At times, the lead singer sounds quite a bit like the guy from the King Blues. They're from Boston but only bear a slight resemblance to the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Worth pursuing.
