Exactly so let's leave those Phil fans where they are. ;)
End scene?
Total annihilation.

So Wire + Phil Collins = Swans
You're trying to make me insane but it won't work! :naughty:

It won't work because we're all insane here but some clearly more so than others...

Trying to get into Genesis. It's not happening, not been a fan of anything really bar this one and that Wardrobe one.
It's not worth the effort try King Crimson instead.
Can't imagine our friend digging King Crimson at all. If he doesn't go much on the pop side of Genesis I can't really see him digging any prog.
Some ELP was ok. I'm willing to learn, just so much to cover here.
Not so much a learning thing mate more a liking thing.
I get what you mean, but take punk. I enjoyed it far more when you learn about how it evolved, key figures, social impacts, the list is endless. Don't know if I'm making terrific sense but hope you get me.

Sure you are. There is often a social based around different music genres and vice versa.

What I'm getting at is that it is important to like what you like and not be put off by what others like or what is considered cool

I like PC, I have no care about uncool music.

But seriously... I think I was just disappointed. I love discovering new music (B.A.D a prime example) and thought Genesis would be the way to go and again I've tried to 'get' them today with no avail.

Again I'm not a Phil Collins fan but that doesn't mean I dismiss everything he has done in his career completely out of hand because he isn't considered cool.

Actually, that he looks like a tax lawyer is the most interesting thing about him. Sliding scale, of course.

I dismiss everything he's done because its all awful and he sucks, not because he's not cool.

Any of his songs you've got a slight liking for? Or a better way of phrasing, what's your least disliked song of his?
