Totally. For example, Brutal Youth is definitely a middling EC album, but it'd be the top shelf for 90% of songwriters.Marky Dread wrote: ↑13 Nov 2017, 6:35pmIt is a quality album. In a catalogue as broad and good as EC's it's easy to pass over some great stuff at times.

Lou Reed, 'Street Hassle' (1978).
...some people got no choice
and can never find a voice
to talk with
that they can even call their own.
So the first thing that they see
that allows them the right to be
they go and follow it, and you know what it's called?
Bad luck.

Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?
My all time, go-to, number one Lou album outside of the Velvets first 2, Love, love love Street Hassle. Another record that is in my DNA. Every song a story, a cautionary tale, just a Walk on the Wild Side brought to life. Add a couple of the bonus extras on coney Island Baby and you have all you need to know right there. (I Want to Know, Looking for Love and All Through the Night).
also pick up any of the 77-78 boots, there are a lot out there, they are all good

At this very moment in time I'm listening to my vinyl version of Slider by T.Rex.

Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?
Like the butterfly effect, heston just felt a chill halfway around the world as a candian played some good music.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

To be fair, statistically speaking, nobody was expecting a Canadian to play good music.

I was just about to post something similar, a chill definitely passed through my body but I thought it was wind.
