Classic album, actually the whole Rockpile era, Nick and Dave's solos included since they were essentially Rockpile albums are all great

New single out today from Boston's legendary THE PROLETARIAT:

Some bands mellow with age, but I think these cuts rock harder, faster and angrier than most of their old material. Great stuff.

A driving mix I made of Beach Boys pop songs from the start through Wild Honey. So much fun.

I've been listening to the Beach Boys satellite radio station and it's awesome because they absolutely do not do any quality control, just fuckin' everything associated with the band. Hits, album cuts, alternate takes, solo material. One sequence of songs went Good Vibrations -> Island Girl -> In My Car -> God Only Knows. By the first third of GoK I basically started frothing at the mouth from the mental whiplash induced.

Also, they played Mike Love's solo reworking of Getcha Beck with JOHN STAMOS and it's a miracle I didn't swerve into oncoming traffic. Loving the channel.
