Manitoba has been off the radio for a weeks, they usually mention he's on vacation and they haven't, so i googled to see if he had left SRS/XM, and found something more disturbing

I bought this recently. The two halves of Radio Clash are listed as one track, however the join isn't exactly seamless. The Mag 7 version is only just over 2 mins long!

Hippie music! All good punk rock songs should be no longer than 1 min 30 secs.

Paul Westerberg, 'PW & the Ghost Gloves Cat Wing Joy Boys' (2009 6 track EP).
Another of his one-man-band basement tapes, with the acoustics as driven as the electrics.
"Ghost On the Canvas" was given to the late Glenn Campbell for his last album. A sublime song.

Could definitely have done with a bit more editing ;)

Just played the Sound System version of London Calling. Sounds brilliant. Now onto Combat Rock.

Oooh, I'll have to catch up on some Paul Weller solo stuff then. :shifty:

Love everything about this EP except for the chorus of "Listen."

Agree. Brilliant lil record, but yeah, the chorus of "Listen" gets pretty close to power ballad territory.

And Dolphin is such a beast on this and 'Now Then'.

As is Mr McMordie. Really inventive bass lines.

I will never understand how that album flopped and broke them up.

Yup, Ali was always a great bassist. Drummer-wise, Falloon was pretty non-descript, and Reilly was quite good but had this very clipped, terse, herky-jerky style, almost like Terry Chimes. Taylor just opened up their sound so widely and cinematically. Half of 'Now Then' could have been big radio hits, which no doubt would have pissed off their "punk" base even more than just the existence of the album did. Fuck 'em then, fuck 'em now.
