There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Hadn't heard that one before, pretty good.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Into the 21st century and KJ fully morphs into something truly ferocious and apocalyptic. Like the late and lamented humour site Brunching Shuttlecock's slogan had it: Pure and simple as a hammer to the forebrain. And, of course, it's notable for the fact that Dave Grohl did the drumming, gratis, atoning for that whole Eighties/Come As Your Are tee-hee.
edit: Also, I'm pretty sure eumaas turned me on to this album, as I was unaware that it had come out.

Yep if only Captain Sensible hadn't written that riff for The Damned.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 3:31pm

That would have been an interesting defence for Nirvana if it had gone to court—we weren't ripping off you, KJ, we were ripping off the Damned.

I can't remember now if there was any acceptance or any kind of settlement. But yeah how great would that have been in a court room.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 3:56pmThat would have been an interesting defence for Nirvana if it had gone to court—we weren't ripping off you, KJ, we were ripping off the Damned.

Between Nirvana & KJ? No, I think Grohl drumming for free was the unofficial settlement. I suspect Cobain's suicide took a lot of steam out of interest to go to court.Marky Dread wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 4:11pmI can't remember now if there was any acceptance or any kind of settlement. Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?
I think it's a really great riff and all three tracks Damned KJ Nirvana are all great. I thought Come As You Are was better than Teen Spirit and had more punk spirit to itDr. Medulla wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 4:18pmBetween Nirvana & KJ? Weird, given that Nirvana were a heavy metal band.Marky Dread wrote: ↑30 Nov 2017, 4:27pmI think it's a really great riff and all three tracks Damned KJ Nirvana are all great.
