Everyone knows what the best post-Clash album is. Any other opinion is lunacy.
Gotcha.

I'm not gonna lie I played the shit out of my cassette copy back in the day. I still don't hate it.
I don't hate it but it isn't very good.

I could never get past how awful CtC sounds. EW has better execution.

With all the Phil Collins apologists around here I'll gladly proclaim my lack of hate for EW. No shame here. I might even go as far as to say I like it minus a few really bad tunes on it.

It's nowhere close to being a bad album. It's just a bit of a wasted opportunity when Joe could've produced much better. Joe desperately trying to be the English Springsteen did him no favours.

I must have heard EW a hundred times and there are still songs on there I can't remember when I look at the titles. A lot of it is totally forgettable.

I can remember some of the tunes but the claustrophobic feel to the lyrics are what kills it for me. The songs are not allowed to breathe.

This is true. I guess CtC's perverse virtue is that the awful is entirely memorable. Better to be remembered and jeered than forgotten altogether.

Oh god, yes. I'll listen to EW eight days a week over anything to do with Phil Collins.

I hope the government brings back the 3 day week.
