Nebraska? Who knew?Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑16 Nov 2018, 1:48pm
Post-punk revivalism out of Nebraska. Sinister disco beats with bloopy and buzzy, very artificial-sounding synths. There's a certain sameness to the songs, but if you dig the death disco genre, this will likely appeal.

I've listened to this band a fair amount. There's definitely bloops and bleeps as described above, but they're a good listen when you're in that kind of mood.

Sex Park, Atrium. From sort of Kory-ish way (Portland, OR), I heard these guys on a compilation and sought out their full-length album. Very early 80s synth/post-punk sound. The song that caught my ear, "Dignity," sounds like it could have been recorded in 1981 by New Order.

They're really good. They're everything Phil Collins, Billy Joel, and Wham aren't. You should listen to them.

Yeah, I believe so. From L.A., I think. And I agree about the Poly comparison. As in, after the Spex broke up, instead of becoming a Hare Krishna she moved to New York and joined a no wave band.JennyB wrote: ↑20 Nov 2018, 10:17amOoooh...I like!
