Watched the Nilsson doc last night. IMDB lists it at 116 minutes, I saw it on PBS in a 90 minute slot, minus the pledge drive shit, so I saw a bit of it, I suppose.
I'm not huge on his music, but a very interesting character.
Reminded me a little of me. Not the talent part, the likes to get fucked up part.
So he fucked up his voice (in part) because he liked to have who-can-scream-the-loudest contests with John Lennon?

Had drinks with a friend I haven't seen face-to-face in about fourteen months. Among the revelations was that he's getting into Nilsson. His wife is confused by this middle-aged turn.
