Hello,

I'll admit I like Kiss' Dr. Love. It's hilarious and I like the hook/riff/whatever. The lyrics are cock-rock at it's best (or worst, depends on your perspective). Gene's level of pretension is unmatched (it sounds like he's really serious) - plus it has cowbell.

I think everyone should post their top 5 songs (that they genuinely love) that everyone else on here will hate (limit of one song per band).
Everyone or just me ?

Also I doubt I could come up with 5 that everyone would hate, more likely just stuff you never heard of.

I meant everyone, bare those guilty pleasures that everyone else hates (at least the majority).

I more know specific artists I could name that certain people don't like as opposed to songs and even then I don't think I could produce such a list.
My 5 favorite bands are roughly The Clash/Strummer, Pogues, Black Sabbath, X, Dead Kennedys/Jello

That said I have no doubt you people could produce a list I hate.

I'll do my best, in no particular order

1. Dave Matthews Band - Don't Drink the Water
2. Grateful Dead - Cream Puff War
3. Led Zeppelin - Communication Breakdown
4. Don McLean - American Pie (I actually prefer Everybody Loves Me Baby, but I don't think anyone cares about that song either way)
5. The Eagles - Desperado

I know a lot of people don't like Sinatra, Crosby, and such that i listen to, but I've never picked up that anyone really despises those old crooners per se - too far removed from the cultural conversation - so I'm not including that stuff. If anyone feels like any of those five are too defensible I'll pick some others.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

The Led Zep is too good for that list.

Yeah replace that with Stairway to Heaven and you have a winner.

Fuck sake
Pots and kettles.
My bad taste is better than Tom's.
You must've loved it when I turned up with an even more questionable taste in music.
Was Hitler worse than Mussolini?
Interesting comparison, one I've never had directed at me, I'll be honest.

Five songs I like that I reckon most on here will not...

Satellite - The Hooters
Happy Talk - Captain Sensible
I'm In the Mood For Dancing - The Nolans
Walk of Life - Dire Straits
If You Leave Me Now - Chicago
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
