Enjoying this tonight, should use random more often...

Radio - Ron Sexsmith
Shoop, Shimmy and Shake - Owen Gray
It's a Long Way To the Top - AC/DC
Closest Thing To Heaven - The Kane Gang
Yesterday's Papers - Stones
Holy Touch - Foxy Shazam
Get Over It - The Guillemots
At it's best, you've got the world's best DJ, at its worst there's six terrible demos from the same band and a stray piece of spoken word

Haha, luckily I'm randoming on my phone rather than my laptop, which has much of the latter stuff you mention.

Haven’t got iTunes anymore and doesn’t work on Spotify 😞
Have you not just got a media library on you laptop or phone? I don't know if this sounds quaint.
No that's how I do it. Fuck spotify, software nerds writing asshole algorithms trying to tell me what to listen to.

You're thinking of Pandora. Spotify is where you can just listen to whole albums.

Without paying them? I had checked them out a few years back and they seemed pretty limited in terms of the artists available. And when my wife or son use it it seems that other songs are tossed in by other artists.

I think they've bolstered their library a lot, as far as your family, it sounds like they are listening to playlists, or sometimes when you get to the end of an artist's oeuvre, they start playing related stuff.

If you listen to a specific album on Spotify when it ends they will play other songs by same artist mixed with 'similar' selections from their algorythms.

Random shuffle out of nearly 2000 songs I got two from Dog Party (no complaints just seemingly long odds).

This was my morning drive to work.

Stortebecker - Slime
Jet Pack -Dog Party
Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie -Black Flag
Right Around the Corner - Detroit Cobras
Gutters - Dog Party
Concrete Poetic - Sonny Vincent
Right Between the Eyes - Bloody Hollies

Nice selection, didn't know all the artists so went exploring, that's what I like about this thread. It's a Long Way is a great song just take out any headphones before the bagpipe solo!

When I Need You - Leo Sayer
Fake Tales of San Francisco - Arctic Monkeys
Bittersweet Symphony - The Verve
2002 - Anne-Marie
December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night!) - Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons
(I Just) Died in Your Arms - Cutting Crew
Something Got Me Started - Simply Red

The Verve track is one of my all time favourites but everyone here seems to hate it for some reason. I should really hate that Cutting Crew track but I really like it.

I agree you can't beat a little bit of the Stones every now and then.
