I Wanna Be Adored - The Stone Roses
Campaign of Hate - The Libertines
One More Time - Daft Punk
Alone - Heart
The Living Years - Mike & The Mechanics
There Ain't Half Been Some Clever Bastards - Ian Dury & The Blockheads
Up The Junction - Squeeze
You always have a good list spoilt by one Smooth FM song.
2 in this case, though I love both the Mike and the Mechanics and Heart songs.
I personally can't stand The Living Years. It's so cliched and cloying. That line "when my father passed away" is just so literal and unpoetic. I can see why it resonated with people but it is so artless to me.
Shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted always seemed like a waste of time to me.

The most Prince-like BAD ever got. An underrated song from Megatop.

Yeah lovely, chilled out song off an album that proved very difficult to get into but really enjoy it now.
