Your timetable may be off, but I have no doubt that at some point they'll do a reunion tour for sums greater than most African countries' annual GNP. Heaps of credit to Abba and the Smiths for resisting.Silent Majority wrote:They've surprised me.Silent Majority wrote:Oasis reunion show scheduled for 2013, at the latest.101Walterton wrote:Hardly a suprise considering the guy with talent and wrote the songs isn't in the band.
edited aside: One amusing moment in Steve Hanley's memoir of being in the Fall was relating the time they met the guys in Oasis and Craig Scanlon pissed off that Bonehead guy by calling him Knobhead.

Not really that amusing as it's a very common thing to call someone in Manchester and Liverpool. Hardly Mr. wit and repartee.Dr. Medulla wrote:Your timetable may be off, but I have no doubt that at some point they'll do a reunion tour for sums greater than most African countries' annual GNP. You are answering my question with the same question?101Walterton wrote:Is this the one he was supposed to release last time then didn't or a new one?Marky Dread wrote:Isn't Noel about to or has released his new High Flying whatever?biopunk wrote:Hope this doesn't open any doors on Oasis reforming...
New single Released 17 November 2014 which isn't bad.

Album drops in March 2015 then they tour so it looks unlikely any Oasis reformation will take place.

Same old plodding crap from Noel. He's capable of a lot better.

Re: Even worse than Oasis...
There were a couple of good tunes on HFB but overall I am disappointed with Noel's solo stuff. The solo / accustic stuff he did in Oasis was brilliant (Half The World Away / Spaceman etc..) so I don't know why he went away from that.Heston wrote:Same old plodding crap from Noel. Re: Even worse than Oasis...
I agree with you there. There was also a solo live thing he did for charity, given away with a Sunday newspaper, which hinted at that. Mind you, a sustainable career needs diversity too.101Walterton wrote:There were a couple of good tunes on HFB but overall I am disappointed with Noel's solo stuff.
