First song you can remember hearing

I can't say I know for sure, but an educated guess would be music from The Jungle Book. I had a lot of Disney records as a kid, and I know I played that one a lot.

Brilliant this was my first introduction to music I have the original vinyl album it's been kept in mint condition, my first lp, I think my mum must have played it as I would've scrathed it at the time. Other early records were Please Please me - The Beatles and 5 x 5 live ep - The Rolling Stones also universal soldier by Donovan.

Altogether now: I'm the King of the swingers the jungle v.i.p....

I have the jungle book LP with the story between the tracks and picture book sleave. My sister had the Aristocats. Olliver was also a fave of mine. I remember my mum playing the soundtrack from Jesus Christ Superstar and Hair over and over. My Ding A Ling was probably the first record in the charts I liked.

My dad used to sing Bob Dylan's The Wicked Messenger to me when I was going to sleep (Out of all the Dylan songs he chose that one) & the artist that really sticks out for me would be Cat Stevens, my parents used to play his records all the time when I was younger.

The first song I loved was Elvis' Return To Sender, I nicked their CD & just put it on repeat every day for about a year.

I'm pretty sure it was The Ballad of Ira Hayes.
