I bet there are at least 3 ironic moustaches worn between the two bands. Maybe more.tepista wrote:too many syllables.Inder wrote: THE STRANGE DEATH OF LIBERAL ENGLAND

Usually, they just share the one.

That's so ironic it might actually be meta.Inder wrote:Usually, they just share the one.

Re: Music Festivals
Definitely. Wire and Gang of Four on back-to-back days? There's a distinct possibility that you'll never see either of those bands ever again. Sell your sweet ass on the mean streets if you need to raise the funds.Flex wrote:Then go, young Inder.Inder wrote:I'm really stupid if I don't go to the Offset Fest:

I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Hey thanks. :DBostonBeaneater wrote:You like Band of Horses and Spoon (from another thread)! Two great bands I never hear anyone talk about. Ace Kokey, Ace!KokaKola wrote:Anyone going to (been to) one this year??
Seattle's Bumbershoot festival is coming up on Labor Day weekend (first weekend in Sept), and I'm really excited... Had a blast last year (part of the time by myself, even), and looking forward to another great time this year.
Band of Horses and !!! are the two I think I'm most looking forward to this year... And a whole host of other bands I'll be catching, hopefully.
Figured they were a bit to "Indie" for anyone here to like --- I've eclectic taste in music.
BOH were fantastic when I saw them live last year.... Plus, I always feel like I'm taking a trip back to my childhood, when my dad listened to all those late-70s be-facial-haired bands...
How do you feel about these ones? (Gonna try to see them at Bumbershoot, too):
Tapes n Tapes
Throw Me the Statue
Bedouin Soundclash
Xavier Rudd

Love Silversun Pickups live.... And the drummer is hilarious to watch. Drums with his entire body.Sub wrote:In September I'm seeing:

If I were you I'd leave after the Weakerthans and leave a huge bomb on the festival site.Sub wrote:In September I'm seeing:

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

The Cribs only have two good songs, but Ryan Jarman is hilarious.Heston wrote:If I were you I'd leave after the Weakerthans and leave a huge bomb on the festival site.Sub wrote:In September I'm seeing:
