Lamest Rush Song

Post by matedog »

I'll admit to having a weak spot for tracks such as Limelight and Spirit of the Radio, but man some of their songs are lame. Given I only know the Greatest Hits, perhaps you guys could fill me in.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Rush is the epitome of nerd rock. I hate them and love them at the same time.

Roll the Bones is a dreadful song.

That song that just goes on and on and on and makes me regret that rock n roll ever developed as a form.

I went with the Trees for its half-formulated Randian idiocy in the lyrics.

Correct analysis, and so you'd think I'd like the band. But I do not. Fuck Rush.

Flex is in agreement with me to 3 significant digits.

Although like once a year for like an hour or so, I have a weird craving to listen to Rush. It usually subsides without incident.

I chose Tom Sawyer because while it has some important sentiments (my mind is not for rent to any god or government), the execution just plain blows. Plus, they're Canadian and not Neil Young, so automatically they suck.

I'm thinking that the lamest rush song is like being the smelliest hippie.

Yeah, as long as killing drifters is considered "[subsiding] without incident."

Spirit of Radio is a great pop song, everything else is bilge.
