His dad wasn't a bankrobber, he turned rebellion into money—is there anything Joe wouldn't lie about?

"They Came Through the Bathroom Window"
John: "Hey Paul do you want to know a secret?"
Paul: "You can't do that"
John: "It's great I do it eight days a week"
Paul: "I should have known better"
John: "Come on it won't be long"
Paul: "I think you've got to hide your love away"
John: "Just act naturally it's only norwegian wood"
Paul: "I thought you were getting better"
John: "I can do it with a little help from my friends, come on all together now"
Paul: "This is nowhere man"
John: "Okay let it be"

Listening to Rubber Soul right now. Man, they were operating at a pretty damned masterful level by that point.

I've never understood the hate for MSH. It's lower tier McCartney/Beatles, along the lines of other goopy Paul songs like "When I'm 64," but it's not as off-putting lyrically.

Just a personal preference, I guess. I've just never dug it. McCartney makes up for it right away with Oh Darling! ...but I'm thinking the album would have been better without it.

"Her Majesty" is the only song on AR that really irritates me. A dumb gag addition that is so Paul-corny.

Imagine a Chunbawamba cover beating the Beatles original.
