Just raced through this in two days. It was fantastic. Must-read, if you're into the Fabs.

I read it a few months ago, a very interesting read.Inder wrote:Just raced through this in two days. It was fantastic. Must-read, if you're into the Fabs.

Read it back in January. Good stuff. When in doubt, sue the others.Heston wrote:I read it a few months ago, a very interesting read.Inder wrote:Just raced through this in two days. It was fantastic. Must-read, if you're into the Fabs.

I have no idea if this is healthy or not, but I've had "From Me to You" stuck in my head for probably the past two weeks. Particularly Take 7 from the Alternate Past Masters Vol. 1.
And I think I like "Mr. Moonlight" now. It's not bad.

Put on Alternate Past Masters Vol 2 and listened to the unedited "You Know My Name." It's fundamentally a novelty song, but, damned if it isn't in my top ten Beatles songs.Chuck Mangione wrote:I have no idea if this is healthy or not, but I've had "From Me to You" stuck in my head for probably the past two weeks. Not the greatest song, but what a vocal by Lennon.Chuck Mangione wrote:I have no idea if this is healthy or not, but I've had "From Me to You" stuck in my head for probably the past two weeks. Particularly Take 7 from the Alternate Past Masters Vol. 1.

I like that one a lot too. It sounds like something that can come out today, rhythmically, especially at the start.Dr. Medulla wrote:Put on Alternate Past Masters Vol 2 and listened to the unedited "You Know My Name." Mr Moonlight is great. Don't know why everyone sort of dismisses it.

Chains is awesome, probably not one of the strongest from Please Please Me, but it's a gem. Silver Hammer is another one of McCartney's "granny" tunes, not very favorable on my end.

I never really liked the Beatles' C&W shtick.Chuck Mangione wrote:Chains is awesome, probably not one of the strongest from Please Please Me, but it's a gem.
