We Must Repeat

Post by tepista »

DEVO for FREE (racetrack admission) at Del Mar Racetrack, CA on Sat Aug 30.

Gambling and DEVO? I'm fucking there, I was gonna drive two hours to see Priest and Sabbath that day, but now I'll drive 2 hours in the other direction.

I didn't care when Dale Ernhardt died, but I was sad when Seattle Slew did.

I know several people who think it should be a nationally recognized day of mourning.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

I cared so much, that I originally wrote "Richard Petty" then stopped for a fact-check.

I had no idea who he was when he died. Jews don't do NASCAR (evidently there is some Bernstein guy in NASCAR -- no relation -- and I refuse to accept that he's Jewish).

Wrong. Seth Kahn, my roommate for orientation, was a NASCAR-loving Jew from Alexandria.

David Duke got 10% of the black vote when he ran for governor (senator?) of Louisiana. The margins are dominated by sociological quantum mechanics.

Seth Kahn must be one of those folks we refer to as "Jewsiers" -- Jewish Hoosiers. They supposedly exist in the wild, but I have not yet seen one in person. Ergo, I don't believe you.

I have photographs of said Jewish redneck (tallisneck?).

Actually, they were both in the same direction, DEVO was about an hour further. It was awesome, they played an entire set. Booji Boy made an appearance. Well worth a long drive, then a long wait. There were so many thousand people there, I couldn't even estimate, I grabbed my spot early, about 20 feet from stage.
