Love and Theft is actually a pretty good album... "High Water" being its high watermark... :shifty: not quite as good as "Things Have Changed," probably the best Dylan song of the last fifteen years at least...
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Could be more than 20 minutes but I'm also too lazy to type it all out.

Word.

Have you heard Modern Times, yet? I think his trio of recent albums have been quite the renaissance for him.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

Only heard it once and don't own it.

I've been at home for about a week now after a 7-week abstinence from CDs, stereos and whatnot. During the last week I haven't listened to practically anything and feel quite alienated from music in general. That includes the Clash as well.

During the last week I have listened mostly to Black Prophet (Ghanainan reggae) and some other West African discs I bought (cannot remember the artists now though) and some random Finnish stuff (e.g. CMX). That's about it.

The Clash-related music I have listened is limited to Walker (once, Sandstorm being a favourite tune now) and SBMC (first half). Midway through the Gates of the West and all the way through the first bars of Capital Radio 2 the CD started skipping like crazy!!! It did not do it before. Fuckin hell, I have to go and buy a new copy. Might as well buy the PiL Metal Box; the tin-covered reissue is on sale at the local record dealer.
