1982? I don't think that version of Flex was even out yet.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I believe the only model available then was the FLX-80 from Texas Instruments. No internet access, but you could hook him up to a TV.

I thought Super Flexout was a better use of the paddle controller.

I only had that annoying Flex Ball. It was analog but buggy as shit.

My parents wouldn't spend the money on an actual FLX-80. I got the Sears knock-off. :disshame:

(That's actually true of my Atari 2600. It was the Sears version.)

What the hell does that blog mean by "non-essential hardcore?" With some liquor in me I'll still belligerently argue that "Flex Your Head" is the greatest compilation ever made.*

Also, I feel bad for you guys. Luckily for you all, you now have the newest - and therefore the best - flex model gracing you with his presence on these very boards.

*I guess my wrath should be directed at AMG. Also, they're wrong about Iron Cross. Dudes released two great singles and a cd compilation including unreleased tracks was released in the 90s.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Time to close down that account so it stays at that number forever.
