I wouldn't describe the authenticity argument in those terms. There's no snark or kneejerk responses, as far as I can tell, but sincere beliefs about evaluating music. Unless I'm misunderstanding that discussion.

I have my position re. fruit pie, but it's not that important to me—it's for my own entertainment. I hope I don't come off as defensive re. pies, because it is just some degree of mock seriousness.
Relative to other concerns, this isn't important to me either.
Good—I sincerely would never want to alienate anyone here, especially those I respect, over their musical interests. If I knew that Hoy got bent out of shape over the Springsteen razzing, I'd stop it yesterday. If it ain't in the Dictator sub-forum, I'm not especially invested in any disagreement that pops up.

I only bash Hoy because he takes it so well. As far as I'm concerned, he's the IMCT Mascot. Universally beloved.

Really? I don't like him at all. He's the reason Oakland smells like feet.

I think two people have foe'd me.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Can anyone really understand how much the Kiss criticism hurts? Yet you stick the knife in day after day.

I understand Wolt's criticisms of The Boss (deeply rooted deity jealousy), but the Kiss kritiques are baffling.

I like your use of the patented double K, I should have said Kiss Kriticism.

Kallous Kiss Kriticism.

Three Ks shouldn't have any unsavory connotations.

Korrect.

By the way, it's not often you Good Ol' Boys start wrangling with each other, I'm getting a perverse pleasure out of this. :shifty:

For the record, I believe every artist's game for a bit of a pisstake. I mean, we slam the Clash on here more than their detractors ever could.
