I won't even pretend to start discussing the relative merits of the ordering, or pick at what should have been included instead of what's in it, but I think I love every single one of those albums listed so they musta got something right.

There's a part of me that is opposed to ranking punk records. It's applying the idea of a canon to a genre that was arguably rooted in rejecting that kind of approach to art. I still play that game of listing favourites and all that, but I do question the intellectual fidelity to punk values.

They got it right about which version of White Riot was the best. Also nice to see SLF so high.

I noticed they left off the Violent Femmes self titled, which I consider a seminal album. Is it punk, though?
