Talking of crotch rot did I tell you the story of how I once stayed in an adjoining hotel room to Rod's wife and we had interconnection doors????
After trying to see if the interconnecting door was locked or not (you have to don't you?) I noted that she moved the drawers in front of it!!

Exactly.
However having said that it was a small boutique hotel and I was there with my wife and 3 other couples. We had a big party in one of the suites and some other friends turned up (this is less than 5kms from my house). In the morning we were in the reception looking very sheepish and Rachel Hunter walked through. Someone apologised about the noise and she said she was disappointed she didn't get an invite!!!

I agree. Have we ever done a thread about awful voices?Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑25 Oct 2017, 7:09pmSeveral musical observations:
This video was just on in a batch dedicated to 1983.
1) What an awful song. Even Heston must hate this.
2) Rod Stewart has one of the most god-awful voices of any successful pop singer. Just defies all reason and probability. He and Axl will be waiting in hell to serenade me for eternity.
3) Did he scalp Linda McCartney for that hair, and was subsequently scalped by Paul Weller? Did none of these people own a mirror or have people who loved them to say, "No. You look like a charwoman's brush"?
Got a Rake? Sure!

I actually like Rod Stewart's voice. Often great on the Faces stuff.

I like his voice a lot too. Nice gravel to it.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Spearhead this baby. Certain to generate sparks, bitterness, and assertions of other people's awful taste!

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
I don't personally care for it, though it works on the Faces stuff. But he's generally considered to have a great voice by people outside of IMCT, so I guess mileage varies.
EDIT: it's far more his choices of songs to sing that makes me annoyed with him.
