My internet has been off all week but with what little data I have on my phone, I encourage everyone here to listen to Love On a Farmboy's Wages by XTC. My god.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

It's not an especially compelling album, too on the Joy Division side of things but suffering without Ian's presence (save for haunting the whole thing), but "Ceremony" is my favourite song of all time and "Temptation" is also so damned good.

I’m not gonna lie:I downloaded his album a while back. It’s not bad in a sleazy horror metal sort of way.revbob wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 6:36pmApparently Doyle tours with his own band...

New Order is weird for me, because I think they got objectively better when they dropped the Joy Division sound (since they suffer doing that sound without Ian), but I mostly only like them when they sound like Joy Division.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 10:02pmhttp://www.slicingupeyeballs.com/2018/1 ... tracklist/

I largely agree with this, however seeming paradoxical it is.Wolter wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 11:53pmNew Order is weird for me, because I think they got objectively better when they dropped the Joy Division sound (since they suffer doing that sound without Ian), but I mostly only like them when they sound like Joy Division.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 10:02pmhttp://www.slicingupeyeballs.com/2018/1 ... tracklist/

I really want to like Technique but I can't get into it.Wolter wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 11:53pmNew Order is weird for me, because I think they got objectively better when they dropped the Joy Division sound (since they suffer doing that sound without Ian), but I mostly only like them when they sound like Joy Division.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 10:02pmhttp://www.slicingupeyeballs.com/2018/1 ... tracklist/

It's an odd album in that I like all the non-singles from it more than the singles.Kory wrote: ↑21 Dec 2018, 3:56pmI really want to like Technique but I can't get into it.Wolter wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 11:53pmNew Order is weird for me, because I think they got objectively better when they dropped the Joy Division sound (since they suffer doing that sound without Ian), but I mostly only like them when they sound like Joy Division.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 10:02pmhttp://www.slicingupeyeballs.com/2018/1 ... tracklist/
