God, GVF is just awful.
Just gave them some spins and ran right to Zeppeln's BBC Sessions to cleanse the palate.
That was a smart move.

Another example of where being ignorant of this band pays off.

I just read a review of their stinker of a set at a festival in Austin.

Geezo, I couldn't even do 30 minutes of Rush let alone 4 hours!

I had a student a few years ago write a paper on 2112 and … something about politics and culture of the 1970s. He suggested I listen to the album while reading his paper. I said, "There's not way in hell that's going to happen." He knew that I hated Rush, so he just laughed. It was a decent-ish paper, as I recall.

Sparks brothers.
And Low Down Low nailed it, no skimping on hair dye anywhere in that picture.

Hello,

Sparks are generally pretty fun. The looks on the faces of the kids behind them is pretty funny as well.

If you decide you want to know a bit more about them, there's a thread here about a documentary that came out recently.
I'm not necessarily a fan of their music, but I do want to see the film.

Fucking fabulous. I love Sparks.

I love the anecdote from the 70s when they were on TOTP or something and John Lennon called George Harrison and said "Turn on the TV. Marc Bolan is singing with Hitler."
