The Romans built hadrians Wall because they didn't like the dresses that the Jocks wore, it was the equivalent of waving a Sombreo at Donald Trump, that man has no idea of Satorial elegence!, ...if 'The Wall' had not been breached we may never have heard of this band, Steve Mason is now solo, he made a good album called Boys Outside, he got Dennis Bovell to Dub the tracks up, check out the 'Dub Outside' set, the rest of the band went on to form 'The Aliens', good Scottish Psychedelia.

Scroobious Pip - name taken from an Edward Lear poem I believe, people could physically describe the Sroobious pip but did not know what 'it' was.
Have seen this man perform twice and he's Great, Dan Le Sac I tollerate as he doesn't speak much but he can make me feel sick.
It might be a bonus if you have the ability to laugh at yourself regarding Thou Shall always Kill...my Precious (adjective)

I first heard of David Holmes in the 90s when he remixed a track by The Sabres of Paradise, he's come a long way since then, he seems to specialise in compiling film Soundtracks also including original recorded music, he's got some great solo albums available, he also Soundtracked the Oceans 11 reboot.

Heights of Abraham is a historical landmark in the Peak district of the UK, it is also the name of an occasional band by a musician called Steve Cobby, they have an album called Electric Hush, it was released in 95' or there abouts on Pork Recordings, it was also out on ZZT label I believe, Steve Cobby ran Pork Recordings, the label are responsible for a clutch of leftfield ambient jazz tinged funky Ear candy by the likes of The Bullitnuts, Baby Mammoth and Fila Brazillia, not forgetting The Solid Doctor.
Nice to lay down to.

Was listening to The White Room a couple of days back. Wow they basically made a whole album out of one song.hairydot61 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2018, 5:50amPond, part Tame Impala, part Wild Impala, heavy riffage with a sort of Mercury Revvy Flaming Lippsy Thingy

Re: What should I be listening to right now?
And wrote a how to get a hit record manual about it, was the album that similar to the What time is Love? Track?, I remember it to be a bit patchy though, its been a while since I gave it an outing!, not a stone cold classic but an album of its time, they turned out to be more art terrorists than a functioning band, I wonder if they ever regreted burning that Million pounds on that Island?.Marky Dread wrote: ↑04 Aug 2018, 7:01amWas listening to The White Room a couple of days back. Re: What should I be listening to right now?
Regarding making a whole album out of one track, have had a listen to the CD as it was close to hand, I think you went out of the room between track 2 and track 6 :o) I think there is a lot to differentiate between the album tracks but What Time is Love? & The White Room do have a similar 'sound' mainly because of the Female vocal, it's not a bad album really, suits the weather we're having here, also the CD I have the track listing is out of sync to the printed track listing - just been on discogs to check this and yes there are 8 tracks indexed on the CD but 9 tracks credited on the printed cover!, the UK CD runs longer than the US release too as some samples were removed for copyright reasons.Marky Dread wrote: ↑04 Aug 2018, 7:01amWas listening to The White Room a couple of days back.
