Chico was the guy who founded this thread you are so keen on posting in. He also had another thread going where he constantly posted stuff about gigs in the same club week in week out. But to me he was inoffensive tho' he got under the skin of some here I think.hairydot61 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2018, 4:29amappreciated, thank you, I do realise I can be an arsehole though, and as I don't know who chico is I'm not qualified to comment,.... Re: What should I be listening to right now?
Righto, I jumped on the thread as there wasn't much posting on it and there is a lot of good music knocking about from over the years, I understand that peeps have probably heard most of it but theres plenty that goes under the radar and this is a bit like a try before you buy if you like it?, I did get the XTC 'polarity' cd not the blu ray unfortunately, I bought some other bits that were hard to come by at a reasonable price, its a lovely album to listen to, certainly more Bass and hearing other subtle musical bits that are not evident on the original release, cheersMarky Dread wrote: ↑05 Aug 2018, 6:42amChico was the guy who founded this thread you are so keen on posting in. Re: What should I be listening to right now?
Yeah I agree it's a beautifully constructed album. The bluray is real nice as it has the tracks as instrumentals also.hairydot61 wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 5:27amRighto, I jumped on the thread as there wasn't much posting on it and there is a lot of good music knocking about from over the years, I understand that peeps have probably heard most of it but theres plenty that goes under the radar and this is a bit like a try before you buy if you like it?, I did get the XTC 'polarity' cd not the blu ray unfortunately, I bought some other bits that were hard to come by at a reasonable price, its a lovely album to listen to, certainly more Bass and hearing other subtle musical bits that are not evident on the original release, cheersMarky Dread wrote: ↑05 Aug 2018, 6:42amChico was the guy who founded this thread you are so keen on posting in. Hairy is no Chico, and that's a good thing.
All you have to do is read the Nick Markakis thread to see the level of dickishness Chico was and presumably is still prone to.
He called me out for not using my real name.

Holy fudge, I forgot about that. What a horrible trip down memory lane that was. I hope he jumped off a bridge after last night's game.revbob wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 8:55pmHairy is no Chico, and that's a good thing.

I didn't want to read the thread. Did we ever find out whether Nick Markakis exists?

Only that he played a set at Proud Larry's but it wasn't as good as Springsteen.

Re: What should I be listening to right now?
The mists of time cleared, that thread happened 9 years ago!, it took me 50 minutes to read it and possibly 2.5hrs to make some sense of it, ..it was an education and was informative, also at times incongruous (had to look that up) for my mind, some of it was pretty savage and also very funny, I see now....revbob wrote: ↑06 Aug 2018, 8:55pmHairy is no Chico, and that's a good thing.

I would imagine quite a Divisive subject, it actually makes me feel funny inside (In a bad way) thinking about it.

I wonder if Trump has heard of them, or Wilco for that matter?

I'm not sure if I like the idea of a chica called "Hairy".
I was just throwing peanuts from the gallery, didn't realise it would set off a bomb alert.
