Hairy is no Chico,
I'm not sure if I like the idea of a chica called "Hairy".

I was just throwing peanuts from the gallery, didn't realise it would set off a bomb alert. ;)

A coupla tunes to move to, Noiseshaper with a Smokey Wayne Martin vocal on Moving Together, a couple from Kieser Velten from an absolute belter of an E.P (Showdown) on Kruder & Dorfmeisters label G-Stone, and finally Chaka Khan and a new track to me anyway called like Sugar, I don't listen to daytime radio apart from 6Music on BBC.

Josh Davis, also known as DJ Shadow had a debut album released in 96' called Endtroducing, apparently its in the Guiness book of world records as the worlds first completely sampled album, track 2 here is from that release, track 1 is from an album called The Private Press, DJ Shadow I find is very good, also very good is Canadian  Scott Montieth whom goes under the Deadbeat moniker, he released music on a record label run by a German chap called Stefan Betke, Stefan also known as Pole, a German glitch Dub producer ran a label called ~Scape, New World Observer is on that label and is a full set, lovely to listen to if you have an open mind and have a pulse.

Our American cousins had their own John Kennedy but alas he was not well liked by covert adversaries and had his lunch money taken off him in a most dark and spectacular way, our own Jon Kennedy is a little like DJ Shadow, I would be surprised if he wasn't influenced by him, he has a few bona fide hardcopy CDs on Grand Central Records to his name and with the advent of the digital age has a multitude of music files on his website http://www.jonkennedy.co.uk/
Jon now lives in Bristol, nowhere near Dallas Texas, thankfully

The Ballistic Brother consist of Ashley Beedle, Rocky & Diesel, Peckings is a ska based tune that belies their sophisticated Club music roots, it's a fun tune to listen to.

Ozric Tentacles have been going for years, they seem to have a large following but have never been overtly 'Overground', they are one of the original crusty type bands, musical nomads where a spectator of the band will have a dog on a piece of string (obligatory).
Eat Static are an off-shoot from thee Ozrics, they were part of the band but went their seperate ways picking up the crusty Techno mantle, they originate from Frome in Somerset and could possibly be on Mushrooms somewhere soon.

Renegade Soundwave as a musical entity had mixed reviews, they were a brave band in respect of the subject matter titles of their early work, stuff like Kray Twins, Cocaine Sex and Pocket Porn, not really top 40 fodder, Daniel Miller saw something in them and signed them to mute, Thank You Daniel, the first three tracks here are from the Howyoudoing? Long player, the last track is an absolutley stonking remix by House Music pioneers Leftfield, I've no doubt that the partnership of Gary Askwith & Danny Briottet like a bit of Skullduggery, knowwarimean?.

Hello,

I've always really liked "Biting My Nails". RSW is an interesting collective/band. I like the In Dub collection as well.

Yes, thats one of their early ones, the dub collection is a good place to start, they have a great best of as well, the Howyoudoing? Set I feel is strong, its the last one they released before splitting, nice one Bill.

Heres an Adrian Sherwood solo excursion from his album Never Trust a Hippy (A term used before somewhere), this particular track is only available on the Japanese version on his album, if you like a bit of Dub music you might find this interesting as Sherwood plays the console live, what heads might call riding the faders, Sherwood has worked with a lot of bands you would be surprised at for a Dub producer, NIN, Ministry and Depeche Mode to name just 3.

Artistically on the palette, Green on Red make Brown, I find the core of Dan Stuart and Chuck Prophet far less prosaic than Brown, they originated in the Tucson, Arizona punk scene and remained firmly in the alt Country Rock scene, Didn't we almost have it all?.

I have a confession to make, when I posted thee last Green on Red tracks, specifically the Keith can't read track, when I listened to it before initially posting it, the resonance that I had when listening to the track in the past was muted and somewhat lacking from my fading memory, as I was short on time I went with it but on subsequent listen realised I had posted fake news, the devil in the detail that I overlooked had the word 'cover' in it, I can only apologise for being a dick and the error has been amended and sounds great...................................The difficult music >
1985 Mute Records, from thee LP As the veneer of democracy starts to fade comes Passivecation Program, Maffia members, Adrian Sherwood, Keith Le Blanc, Doug Wimbish & Skip McDonald,... 1985 FFS!.....and from 1983 thee LP Learning to cope with Cowardice, Liberty City...and some great Live.

Bought "Kray Twins" 7'' on release and the follow up of "Probably A Robbery" both great tracks. And the 12'' of the track that sampled "White Riot" called "The Phantom". Was not that keen on the album though.

Around the 4.30 mark.
