I can see that you're fifty years old
No I don't want your I.D.
I can see that you're fifty years old
No I don't want your I.V.

I had a Hustler magazine in 1989 that has a cartoon that joked about how old the Stone were, calling their album/tour "Steel Wheelchairs". That was 30 years ago, haha! Jesus Christ, I'm older than the Stones were when they recorded Steel Wheels!

Yeah I feel that people were older at a younger age or maybe just my faulty perception.

Look at baseball players from the first half of the century. There are guys who were 25 who looked older than I do now.

I had a Hustler magazine in 1997 that had an edited photo of Louis Farrakhan and Al Sharpton eating fried chicken and watermelon. Fuck that mag.

Flynt isn't some kind of free speech champion. He's a bomb thrower. Just because we like some of his targets doesn't make him someone worth admiring even abstractly.

Just got back from seeing Massive Attack in LA, which was outstanding. In attendance were Horace Andy and Liz Fraser, and the sound was super good and balanced. Very cool to now say I've seen Massive Attack, Portishead, and Tricky in my lifetime.

So, just Alphaville and Trixter and your bucket list is complete.

It's rare that somebody can name a band I've never heard of.

Meaning I wasn't obscure enough or I was?

You were too obscure twice.

You've probably heard Alphaville's "Forever Young" before. It's usually the worst song on some New Wave Hits of the 80s compilation. Trixter was generic shitty hair metal. But I did check to make sure they're both still touring operations because my generation possesses the worst nostalgia imaginable.
