The Flex/Heston consensus on Cock Sparrer is probably one of the most counterintuitive, but completely awesome, Flestons I can think of.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

I went to see The Skids at a small venue, The Beat Generator, in Dundee, with a very enthusiastic crowd. Well, apart from when they did the last song, a new one off the forthcoming album. Aside from a storming set, Richard Jobson's shite between songs was quite entertaining. At one point he asked if anyone went to see The Sex Pistols at the Caird Hall, Dundee's largest music venue. "Anyone who says they were there is talking shite," he said, which is quite correct because the gig never took place, and the hall was never even booked.
There is a poster in Groucho's, the local second-hand record shop cum legend, for the gig, with The Clash and The Heartbreakers mentioned, but it was all a sham. The Pistols had played one gig at Dundee's Marketgate Student's Union, the Bowling Alley, and cancelled a second. Funnily enough, I've met plenty of people who managed to be at both! Some even remember the Caird Hall too! Personally, I don't remember that many punks in Dundee at that time.
However, I was glad that Jobbo was going to set the record straight on this and as there were probably a lot of bull-shitters in the audience, even some younger than me who would no doubt have claimed to have been at all three gigs, it might stop talking of events that never actually happened 41 years ago. Anyway, he carried on with, "and I should know," at which point I thought he was going to say, "because I talk a lot of shite," instead proving that he does by adding, "because I was there and they were fucking awful. Do you remember?" Yes, I remember you Richard. Never mind the bollocks, play 'Into The Valley'.

Was also very apt because I just had a lunch meeting and whilst eating lunch (a taster Ceaser salad) the bottom of my shoe fell off! Came right away. Had to limp up the hill to my car.
