Did John Barnes join them on stage for a guest spot.

My friends and I were torn between shouting out "World in Motion" or "Elegia" at the band. We were close enough to the stage, I'm sure that Barney, et al would have heard us.

We were adults, though, and didn't shout out either of those song names.

Instead, the 3 dipsticks I was with shouted out "We love you, Gillian!"

Lemme guess the JD encores: Transmission, Atmosphere, LWTUA.

Some friends and I went to see New Order last Thursday.

The show lasted more than 2 hours, and 3 Joy Division songs for an encore.

It was a very good concert.

I'm seeing that cover band concert tonight. I don't know how they are going to get together 40 people for a Specials cover band, so that should be interesting. And the Clash cover band is called Guns of Bridgeton, which is hilarious if you know Jortsville suburbia.

Decades? That's a surprising one. I'm not sure I've heard NO do it.

Before the song, Barney said that the band has never before played the song live.

Huh. That itself is kinda surprising as it was a JD song that hinted at where NO would be heading. Nevertheless, neat that you got to witness that.

Had a blast at the cover band concert we went to the other night. The Specials cover band was the best of the three, though they did not play Ghost Town or Rat Race, surprisingly. The Clash cover band was AWFUL. I think if you are going to go to the lengths to call yourself "Guns of Bridgeton" you should at least make an effort to learn the songs, not to mention learning the mannerisms and style of the Clash. The Ramones cover band was good. Lot's of people in the crowd wearing Ramones shirts who didn't seem to be familiar with their songs. But it was still fun!
