Was in NYC this week for work. Not a good week for shows that I was able to find but went to this figuring it would at least be fun, and if was. Monkey Chunks opened NYC area 3 piece punk band. Followed by the Queers and Koffin Kats closing out the set. Two beers were more than the ticket. Fun time though. Koffin Kats were good showmen. Guitar and standup bass player would switch instruments and here's a shot of the bass player standing on his bass while playing the guitar.

Interesting crowd mix, rockabilly chix are always cool but plenty of punks and some metal types and I suppose normies like myself. A lot of people I would say were dressed up for the show. I haven't been to a show in NYC in forever and dont recall seeing that many people with all these patches and stuff.

I got Adam Ant on Sunday. Next month I fly out to LA, got Throw Rag & Lords of Altamont at a club show on the 10th, the CW3 on the 11th. My thinking here is that if Adam Ant and Soft Cell overlap, I can see Soft Cell haven't just seen Adam.

My back and feet hurt just thinking about this, I'm running around like a 48 year old!

I believe so. We'll see who shows up.

I also see the Courettes are coming to Montreal in July, that might require a cross border incursion.

I would love for CJ to get a decent second act.

Also, Covid Karen and the Anti Vaxx Free Thinkers. Be sure to cough in Dicky's face when you go, Bob.

If there wasn't another band before them I would just show up late. I like to checkout unknown opening acts. I often find them to be quite enjoyable. Cancer Christ immediately comes to mind when they opened for Gwar and Negative Approach.
