Does anyone know who would actually be the authority on something like this? Obviously I can't contact the band. I'm having nightmares about booking a flight and a place to stay and then finding out my ticket is only good for the show on the day I leave or something.

So what's your concert schedule looking like?

I regret to inform,,, that I am at a Blue Grass festival, camping and all. Should be sick. As I said on Twitter, going from hardcore to bluegrass makes a lot of sense, since the good stuff in both gets played fast as fuck.
I am proud to inform that hammers are representing at the fest:

My local park had a free 80s double header yesterday with Midge Ure and Nick Heyward from Haircut 100. I was surprised at how good Nick was, he looked and sounded nearly the same as 30 odd years ago. I thought Midge was poor in comparison, his voice was struggling to hit the high notes and he was employing this ridiculous microphone technique where he pulls his voice right away from the mic on the high notes. His voice was just disappearing and it sounded shit.

Shame about Midge. Nick is underrated the stuff with Haircut 100 was some good pop but a lot of his solo stuff is excellent.Heston wrote: ↑29 Jul 2019, 12:55pmMy local park had a free 80s double header yesterday with Midge Ure and Nick Heyward from Haircut 100. Yeah, some of his solo stuff is really good. He did an absolutely killer extended version of Favourite Shirts, liveliest I saw the crowd all day.Marky Dread wrote: ↑29 Jul 2019, 1:01pmShame about Midge. This is a fine technique if the sound guy hasn't employed a compressor, which it sounds like he had.

Oh yeah, you need to pull back for higher notes but this was ridiculous. He was moving about 3 feet away.

Niiice. I missed them here last spring, but vids I've seen sound great. Ian's excellent Rant Band is the core group with Morgan Fisher and Ariel Bender sounding great too (and Bender acting/looking as crazy as '74). Hunter just turned 80 last month and still sings and rocks like a mofo. Should be a gas.
