Its worth getting to Wembley Stadium to see Oasis over 3 hours early (doors open) because you get to the very first row, standing up for over 7 consecutive hours doesn't matter if you're seeing your favourite band, being right next to the sound system is no bother at all, Jon McClure thinks his band is bigger than they actually are, The Enemy are top live & Kasabian are better. Oasis are fucking mind-blowing.
Having Liam Gallagher grin directly at you & stick his tongue out at you is genius, having Gem Archer look at you & copy what you're doing with your arms is also top. Having Oasis play pretty much all the songs you wanted to (and then some) live is just fucking amazing, singing along to all the songs live with your best mate is unbeatable, Liam Gallagher is even more brilliant a few inches away and has extremely soft hands and the best hand-shake ever.

Best night of my fucking life!
Yes they are a great live band. Did Noel did an accustic set ? what did he play ?

I disagree, I think they're boring to look at and Liam's voice is awful live.

Wolter is not an excited teenage girl, even if he sounds like it sometimes.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

He does love the new Jonas Brothers album.

Final Fantasy, Micachu and the Shapes and Mogwai in London (!), August 1st, probably some more as well.

And I'm working at some really bad bands in August. Coldplay is the best among them, which speaks for itself.

And I'm probably attending some local metal-festival, or at least a few concerts. Particularly aiming to see Cynic.

Edit: just read that Marc Ribot is coming to Bergen with some band. I'll probably attend that as well, in October sometime.

Hey now, I just want to say that whenever I want to rock the fuck out, Kiss serves up two scoops of rock like some sort of badass ice cream cone.

Cheers all* for the positiveness :)

Noel didn't technically do an acoustic set, but there were a few songs played on acoustic, backed by electric. Setlist is as follows:

Fucking In The Bushes
Rock N Roll Star
Lyla
Shock Of The Lightning
Roll With It
Cigarettes And Alcohol
To Be Where There’s Life
Waiting For The Rapture
The Masterplan
Songbird
Slide Away
Morning Glory
My Big Mouth
The Importance Of Being Idle
Half The World Away
I’m Outta Time
Wonderwall
Supersonic
Live Forever
Don't Look Back In Anger
Falling Down
Champagne Supernova
I Am The Walrus

*I use that word loosely :p

They may not dance like Take That or have the lights of ELO and they dont rely on any gimmicks for a stage show, they dont have to.

I know Liam can balance a tambourine on his head and the band all have nice feather-cuts, is there something I'm missing?

Its a little old fashioned however they rely on good songs and even if you dont like the songs its the power and energy in their sound. Jokes aside I dont know if you have seen them live or not but I suspect not, I dont know anyone who has that wasn't blown away by their sound (and no I don't include being 200m away at Glastonbury or a corporate box at Wembley).
Sometimes you just have to be there.

Good songs aside, we're talking about the LIVE experience. What do they bring to the plate in concert? I've never seen them live, but when I've seen them on the telly they've been awful. The bassist and guitar player seem to be mentally looking at their watches, Noel strums his chords like a stationary robot and the "greatest frontman of his generation" stands there wailing out of tune with his hands behind his back and a stupid coat on.

At least the Beatles shook their fucking heads.
