It's fairytale-ish experimental folk. Somewhat similar (I'd say) to Final Fantasy (Owen Pallett) if you've heard anything by him, just with guitar instead of violin. Listen to this song at least, so you at least will have something to base your potential hate on: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Co6LZLzEKE
Strong generalization towards indie rock... have you ever listened to Animal Collective? If/if not, what do you think of them/what is your impression of them?

You anger me. The limit is one Radiohead-hate related thread per month. You have surpassed the limit.
You know good and damn well there are no limits to the Radiohead hate here.
Personally, as someone who enjoys Radiohead, I find the vitriol spewed at the band here hilarious.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

Concur. I also remember that much of the anti-Radiohead commentary comes from South Carolinians and racist drunk Massholes and treat it as seriously as it deserves.

Yeah, but you like that ethereal indie BS, and Flex's programming is notoriously flawed in filtering out DMB and Radiohead.

You ever huffed ether? Nothing like bullshit. I've huffed that and believe me, whoa, no way.

I respect your opinions as a Zorn fan, so I will check it out. By the way, it's a generalization about my own taste, and it holds true almost across the board. I honestly do not like indie rock. I mean, shit, I enjoy downtempo more than indie rock.
What I've heard of Animal Collective I haven't liked.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

Yeah, me too. I am always fascinated at how often the subject comes up! There is so much hate.
Because every rock critic from 1995-2000 had knee scabs after writing about their mediocre half-rock.
And if you express an opinion contrary to the Radiohead elite, you get a dozen hipsters jumping down your throat, and trust me, they're hard to cough out.

I can respect that, but you're really missing out on a lot of great stuff.
I thought I'd mention Animal Collective because people tend to shut them down knowing they're labelled as indie rock, but they do have some really good avant-garde-esque stuff as well (like this). Plus, as far as I'm concerned, they're today's single most innovative band.
