exactly my problem with solo Weller
The only great solo Paul Weller cd is "Heavy Soul". It sounds like a mix of the Jam and SC.
All his other cd's, there just wasn't anything that really stood out imo, except for "Bitterness Rising"
from his first release. Everything else sounded uninspired, musicly and lyricly.

A lot of it is rather sameish but there a a few blinding tracks hidden in there Shadow Of The Sun springs to mind.

That's actually one of the few Weller songs I like. Sunflower is probably my favourite.
